Nestled in the lap of the Himalayas, this journey blends natural beauty, adventure, and spiritual discovery. Beginning with a drive along the Beas River to Manali, travelers are welcomed by pine-clad valleys and the warmth of mountain hospitality. The days unfold with excursions to Solang Valley, where snow peaks frame a playground of paragliding, skiing, and mountain air, and evenings come alive with cultural performances that echo the traditions of Himachal.
Further ahead, the pilgrimage town of Manikaran in Parvati Valley reveals a different rhythm where sacred hot springs bubble beside temples and gurdwaras, and myths of Shiva and Parvati linger in the mist. A quiet pause in Kasol captures the charm of mountain villages, completing the experience of serenity and folklore. As the journey winds back toward Chandigarh, what remains is not just the memory of landscapes and rivers, but the sense of having touched the spiritual and cultural soul of the Himalayas.

Manikaran is a pilgrimage centre revered by Hindus and Sikhs. The Hindus believe that Manu recreated human life in Manikaran after the flood, making it a sacred area. It has many temples dedicated to Rama, Krishna, and Vishnu, and a gurdwara. The area is well known for its hot springs and its beautiful landscape.
According to legend, when the Hindu gods Shiva and Parvati were walking in the valley, Parvati dropped one of her earrings. The jewel was seized by Shesha, the serpent deity, who then disappeared into the earth with it. Shesha only surrendered the jewel when Shiva performed the cosmic dance, the Tandava, and shot the jewel up through the water. Jewels continued to be thrown up in the waters at Manikaran until the 1905 Kangra earthquake.
