Treks and Trails was born from a love for nature and a deep respect for those who live closest to it. We believe in slow travel: in meeting people and learning from the land. This is more than just tourism; it’s about reconnecting with nature.
We are a group of veteran tour operators who have been in the Himalayan tourism industry for over 25 years. We witness first-hand the consequences of mass tourism and its affects on local ecosystems and livelihoods. While the tourism sector plays a crucial role in the local economy, we are seeking to introduce travellers to a more mindful and slow kind of travel, one that respects local cultures and communities and is in harmony with nature.

Sunil Sud
Treks and Trails, Bangalore (Mountaineer & Tour Operator)
Sunil is a veteran, versatile in organising various tours in the Western Himalayas including Ladakh and Nepal. He was born and brought up in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh and completed his basic and advanced mountaneering courses from the Western Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. He has coordinated various teams, prominent among them being groups from NASA to trek to the Everest Base Camp on three different occasions.
Kapil Negi
Indian Himalayan Excursions, Manali (Mountaineer)

Vijay is a highly motivated traveler, outdoor lover, events and ground logistics planner with vast experience, lending his knowledge of over two decades to guide people from all walks of life to help live out their adventure. He has been working mainly in Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and the Kashmir region of Northern India.
